METHI KHAKHRA

METHI KHAKHRA

Dear Diary… Today, Methi Khakhra Felt Like a Hug in a Hostel

Written by: Chini from Charliee

Dear Diary,

Hostel life teaches you a lot — like how to finish 23 rupees worth of data in one night, or how to survive 8 AM lectures on 4 hours of sleep. But most importantly? It teaches you to value home-cooked food like it’s treasure.

This morning, as I stared blankly at my dry toast and watery chai, I remembered maa had sent me something. Tucked in the corner of my snack drawer was a pack of Charliee’s Methi Khakhra — and wow, Diary... I’ve never opened a packet with this much excitement.

One bite and my cramped little room suddenly felt like maa’s kitchen back home. That toasty, roasted crunch. The ajwain. The subtle methi. The warmth. It was pure, simple comfort.

I did some stalking (as always), and found out Charliee makes their methi khakhra using whole wheat flour, roasted — not fried and seasoned with real dried fenugreek leaves. This isn’t a gym snack pretending to be tasty. This is real, handmade goodness that just happens to be healthy too.

Turns out you can actually buy methi khakhra online and have it delivered straight to your PG or hostel — who knew? And suddenly, I wasn’t just full... I felt seen. Like someone, somewhere, understood the hunger that wasn’t just about food — it was about home.

Anyway, I’ve kept two pieces for tomorrow. Or maybe tonight. You know how it is.

Love,
Chini
