BUTTER CHAKLI

BUTTER CHAKLI

Dear Diary… Today, I Tasted Diwali Again

Written by: Chini from Charliee

Dear Diary,

Today started just like any other weekday — a bit noisy, a bit lazy, and not very exciting.

But everything changed when I opened that yellow tin I’d been saving for later.
Inside it were
Butter Chaklis from Charliee. And the moment I opened the pack — boom. It felt like Diwali.

Not the fancy, over-the-top kind of Diwali.
But the real one. The one from home — where
maa would wake up early, start making fresh chaklis, and the whole house would smell like ghee, haldi, and love.

It’s funny how a simple snack can take you back like that. The buttery, warm smell of chakli, with just a little bit of spice, felt like a hug from the past. It reminded me of the times I used to sneak into the kitchen and grab one before the puja. You know, that soft crunch, the roasted aroma, and that tiny hint of jeera? It was all there.
And it tasted perfect.

I wasn’t expecting much, honestly. Most chaklis from stores are either too oily or dry and tasteless. But this one was different. It broke gently in my hand and melted in my mouth like it had been made fresh at home.

Of course, I had to know more. So I looked up how Charliee makes their butter chaklis. Turns out, they use authentic rice flour, blend it with cumin seeds and mild spices, and shape each piece by hand — yes, by hand! Then they fry it to golden perfection using fresh oil, all in clean, certified kitchens.

Just real ingredients and traditional care — the kind that makes it taste homemade.

And the best part? I didn’t even have to step out. You can buy butter chakli online from their website, and they deliver it fresh and perfectly packed.
Whether you want
chakli for Diwali gifting or just to fix your snack craving during a long workday — this one is perfect.

Right now, I’m sitting by the window, fairy lights from last Diwali still hanging (yes, I never took them down), munching on these buttery spirals, and feeling the kind of comfort I haven’t felt in a while.

Charliee didn’t just give me a snack today.
They gave me the feeling of home — the laughter in the kitchen, the smell of festive sweets, the joy of wearing new clothes, and maa saying, “Chakli ko haath mat lagana, puja ke baad!”

Anyway, Diary… I’m saving the last three chaklis for tomorrow.
(Or maybe for later tonight. Let’s be real.)

Love,
Chini
